RULE AND REGULATIONS OF LIBRARY

  • 1. Silence must be observed in the library.
  • 2. Every student of the college is eligible for membership of the library,
  • 3. The Library can be utilized by the students and staff from 09:00 A.M. to 05:30 P.M. On working days
  • 4. All students should sign the entry register of the Library, before entering
  • 5. Books borrowing limit: Student – 3.
  • 6. Principal is empowered to increase additional issue of books to whomever he feels necessary.
  • 7. Books are to be handled very carefully. If a book is lost by the student, he/she shall replace the book (same title, author and edition) or shall pay double the cost of the book as fine.
  • 8. Members before leaving the issue counter must satisfy themselves as to whether the books which they intend to borrow are in good condition and any damage should be immediately reported to the Librarian or library staff, failing which the member to whom the book was issued will be held responsible.
  • 9. Members are not permitted to underline, write in, folding / tearing of pages or defaced books in any way whatsoever.
  • 10. The borrowed book should be returned on or before due date, If not, overdue charge of Rs.2. per day for students will be collected.
  • 11. If the due date falls on holidays, return can be done on the following working day without fine.
  • 12. Misbehavior in the library will lead to cancellation of membership and serious disciplinary action.
  • 13. A member who has lost borrower’s token shall make a written report to the librarian, and then original or duplicate library token will be issued on payment of Rs. 50/-
  • 14. The members will be responsible for any loss or non-return of books issued against their original or duplicate borrower’s tick.
  • 15. All the students and outsiders entering the Library should sign in the Register at the Circulation Counter. Library Authorities are not responsible for any loss of personal belongings.
  • 16. Identity Card is compulsory for getting access to the library.
  • 17. Students should not deface, mark, cut, mutilate or damage library resources in any way. If anyone is found doing so, he/she will be charged the full replacement cost of the resource. Books Borrowed should be protected from RAIN, DUST, INSECT, etc.
  • 18. Conversation and discussion disturbs library ambiencs. Therefore, all are requested to maintain dignified silence.
  • 19. No visitor or guest is permitted to use the Library without the prior permission of the Librarian. He/She is required to produce a proper introduction letter from the concerned Institution/Organization to which he/she is attached.
  • 20. No photograph of the Library shall be taken without the prior permission of the Librarian.|
  • 21. All students are advised to come to the Library in decent dress as they are in the classrooms.
  • 22. Two books will be issued at a time 08 days and must be returned on or before due date.
  • 23. Books for reference in the library only will be issued on presentation of the Identity card.
  • 24. An overdue charge of Rs.2.00 per day per book will be charged if a book is kept beyond the period of loan.
  • 25. Readers must satisfy themselves about the physical conditions of the book before borrowing otherwise they will be held responsible for any damage or mutilation noticed at the time of returning.
  • 26. THE TRANSFER OF BORROWER`S CARD IS STRICTLY PROHIBITED. THE BORROWER CARD HOLDERS SHOULD COME PERSONALLY TO THE BORROW THE BOOKS AND THE AUTHORIZATION IS NOT ALLOWED.
  • 27. Every student should maintain the Silence and obey the Library Rules and Regulations.
  • 28. Any student violating the Library Rules and Regulations will not be allowed to the Library.

Digital library Rules:

1. Digital Library is to be used for academic purpose only.
2. Online Chatting in the Digital Library is not allowed.
3. Browsing of dating, social networking sites is strictly prohibited. Strict disciplinary action will be taken against the defaulters.
4. Members are not to share their net access ID and Password with other students.
5. Changing the settings and display of the Computers kept in the Digital Library is not permitted.
6. Playing games on computers is strictly prohibited in the entire Library premises.
7. Members Pen drives, CD/DVD ROMs, Cell Phones, are not used into the digital library
